Gemma is one of our expert osteopaths, paediatric specialist, and one of the directors at the clinic, as well as being married to fellow osteopath and business partner Cyril.
When not in clinic she is probably strolling round a garden centre with their two girls (9 and 7), they love a garden centre and café (who doesn’t!) or walking and training their toy schnoodle – Sascha (secretly her ‘favourite child, at times……)
Little know fact – she used to do ballroom and Latin dancing from the ages of 3-18. Unfortunately she wasn’t that great – no fancy dresses or competitions, but lots of fun. Probably why she’s such a huge Strictly fan.
Get to know her better…….
- Favourite hobbies: Reading, walking the dog, catching up with friends – meals, coffee, brunch – as long as it involves friends and food; and traveling.
- Favourite food: Thai food, chocolate and cheese – not all together
- Favourite holiday destination: Love European city breaks (Lisbon recently was beautiful), also loved New York and South India. The more places I visit, the longer the list of places I want to go, gets.
- Favourite Song: Divine comedy – Songs of Love (first dance at our wedding and also the theme tune to Father Ted!),
- Favourite quote: ‘ Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn’t’. A patient once imparted me with the wisdom – ‘[that] bearing a grudge / anger towards someone, doesn’t change them but it does change you’
- If you weren’t an Osteopath – what would you be? Paediatrician or in the Police
- Best box set recommendations: House ( an oldie but a goodie), Mad Men, Marvellous Mrs Maisel. Really enjoyed Daisy Jones and the Six, recently too
- Marmite – love it or hate it? Love it!! But Cyril hates it ….
