Pregnancy is such a special time of your life. Our specialist osteopaths can help to make your pregnancy more comfortable so that you can cherish this time.
You shouldn’t accept it as a ‘normal’ part of pregnancy and put up with it. Your health and well being is important too.
Our specialist osteopaths are here to listen and help you to:
- Understand your symptoms
- Start treatment quickly
- Get relief from your pain to make your pregnancy more comfortable
- Support your body through the changes of pregnancy
- Help you to cherish this time
Common problems in pregnancy
- back pain (upper and lower back)
- neck pain
- headaches
- general joint aches and pains
- hip or pelvic girdle pain (PGP / SPD)
Huge postural and hormonal changes, as well as increased weight of the growing baby, can all place strain on your muscles, joints and ligaments. During pregnancy your ligaments also start to soften and become more stretchy, meaning they are more vulnerable to strain.
You may be worried about how you will cope with the discomfort during labour or how you can keep mobile.
Our specialist osteopaths can gently help to ease these aches and pains, reassure and advise you how to support your body and health through pregnancy. We are here to offer specialist advice to prepare you and your body for delivery and beyond.

Check ups before and after birth
We would always recommend an osteopathic assessment, with one of our specialist osteopaths, after the birth. This will allow us to asses your needs and release any stresses and strains within your body as a result of your pregnancy, labour or from caring for a newborn.
