What is Osteopathy?
We take the time to listen to your problem and concerns and after conducting a thorough examination, our expert osteopaths will get to the root cause of your problem.
Osteopaths look at the whole body, not just the part that hurts. All parts of the body are interconnected, so an imbalance in one area can affect another.
We also consider how your lifestyle affects your pain, such as your job, commute, hobbies, how you sleep, diet, stress levels. We put all this information together to build a picture of you as a whole person, not just a “symptom”.
It’s important to us that you fully understand your pain. We want you to leave your appointment with a better understanding of why your problem has occurred and a clear action plan of how we are going to help you to feel better.
We are here to guide you and empower you with the knowledge of how to prevent your pain from reoccurring.
Osteopaths are degree educated, are fully insured and registered with the General Osteopathic Council. It is an offense for someone to call themselves an osteopath if they aren’t registered. Other useful info:

Wellness Care - Fit for Life
At Cheadle Osteopathy we don’t just get you well again and send you on your way.
We are always here to offer advice and to support you in reaching your goals. It doesn’t matter if we haven’t seen you in clinic for two weeks or two years – once a patient, always under our care.
If you have any questions, need advice about your posture in your new car seats, are concerned about your child following a fall or want to start a new sport and you’re unsure where to begin – give us a call. We are happy to send advice sheets or just talk it through.
Some of our patients benefit from ongoing treatment to keep them mobile, on track with their exercises or as part of looking after their physical health and well-being.
You are familiar with having an MOT or service for your car to keep it running well. How many times do you do this for your body? Don’t wait until your body ‘breaks down’. Catching and dealing with problems early means we can keep you pain free and moving, rather than waiting until you’re in crisis.
Your osteopath will discuss the best ongoing plan, if needed, for your individual circumstances.
Grow with osteopathy
It’s a real privilege to treat babies and children throughout various stages of their lives. Childhood and adolescence should be about scrapes, tumbles and adventures. We help to make children feel more comfortable and relaxed along the way, so they can get on with being a kid.
Osteopaths are degree trained, fully insured and registered. Find out more through the General Osteopathic Council and The Institute of Osteopathy
