About Robert Chernick

I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body moves and how every part must work in harmony to support both physical and mental well-being. This lifelong curiosity has grown into a deep passion for understanding natural, functional movement patterns—and how disruptions in those patterns can lead to discomfort, pain, and injury.

Modern life, with its repetitive tasks, desk-bound work, and constant use of screens and devices, has taken us far from the way our bodies are designed to move. These lifestyle habits often lead to muscular imbalances and restricted movement, making us more vulnerable to injury.

My own experiences with injury—caused by poor movement habits and the physical demands of an active lifestyle—sparked a desire to help others recover from their own aches and pains. I’m especially driven to support people in not only overcoming injury, but also preventing it through movement re-education and functional rehabilitation.

Since qualifying in 2004 from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine as an Osteopath and Naturopath, I’ve built a broad and integrative skill set. My approach combines osteopathic techniques, myofascial release, medical acupuncture, kinesiology taping, and functional rehab exercises. My goal is always to relieve pain, restore mobility, and enhance physical performance and long-term well-being.

While I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, I have a particular interest in treating athletes and sports enthusiasts. I specialise in addressing postural imbalances, tension headaches, recurrent low back pain, and complex shoulder injuries—especially those linked to poor movement patterns and muscular dysfunction.

Outside of the clinic, I stay active with calisthenics, strength and conditioning training, and a primal-based approach to nutrition and lifestyle. Most importantly, I love spending time with my wife and 3 children.
