Pregnancy is such a special time of your life

Watching how your amazing body changes as your baby grows inside is magical – but it doesn’t always feel like that!

Being pregnant can be tough, in fact recent studies have likened it to the equivalent of being an endurance athlete. Despite this, you still have to go to work, look after other children and try to carry on with normal life. It’s no wonder you have aches and pains.

It doesn’t need to be that way – you shouldn’t accept it as a ‘normal’ part of pregnancy. We can help to make your pregnancy more comfortable, so that you can cherish this time.

Our expert Osteopaths, can relieve your pain, give you bespoke exercises to help to support your treatment and can offer advice and reassurance about positions for pregnancy and birth, to help you feel more comfortable.

“It’s a really pleasant environment to come to.  They made me feel totally relaxed, comfortable and at ease during treatment”

Common problems in pregnancy

Huge postural and hormonal changes, as well as increased weight of the growing baby, can all place strain on your muscles, joints and ligaments. During pregnancy your ligaments also start to soften and become more stretchy, meaning they are more vulnerable to strain.

You may be worried about how you will cope with the discomfort during labour or how you can keep mobile.

Check ups before and after birth

An osteopathic assessment after birth will allow us to asses your needs and release any stresses and strains within your body as a result of your pregnancy, labour or from caring for a newborn.
