Common problems in pregnancy
- back pain (upper and lower back)
- neck Pain
- general joint aches and pains
- hip or pelvic girdle pain (PGP / SPD)
Huge postural and hormonal changes, as well as increased weight of the growing baby, can all place strain on your muscles, joints and ligaments. During pregnancy your ligaments also start to soften and become more stretchy, meaning they are more vulnerable to strain.
You may be worried about how you will cope with the discomfort during labour or how you can keep mobile.
Check ups before and after birth
An osteopathic assessment after birth will allow us to asses your needs and release any stresses and strains within your body as a result of your pregnancy, labour or from caring for a newborn.
